MY CREATIVE PROCESS
& what it's like to work with me

OUR WORK FLOW
1. ALIGNING ON YOUR VISION
Every shoot begins with understanding your vision. You can share inspiration images, a concept, or simply describe the feeling or atmosphere you would like the photographs to capture.
I take particular care in listening closely to what you want to create. My goal is to bring your vision to life exactly as you imagine it, while also adding my own artistic intuition and visual style.
My approach leans towards a natural, minimalist aesthetic, where the focus is on authentic emotion, effortless energy, and sculptural, dynamic posing. I also enjoy incorporating intentional symbolism and visual metaphors into images — subtle elements that give the photographs deeper meaning and storytelling.
Much of my inspiration comes from photographers such as Natalie Kharpuschenko, Leslie Zhang, Ines & Vinoodh, Tyrone Lebon and Paolo Roversi. whose work blends strong visual composition with emotional depth and cultural storytelling.
2. THE CREATIVE DIRECTION
Once I have a clearer understanding of the shoot you have in mind, I will suggest the package that best suits your vision and needs. To secure the date, a non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure the date. Once the booking is confirmed, I begin developing the creative direction for the shoot.
Depending on the project, we may also schedule a short call beforehand to get to know each other better and go through the visual concept together. This is a chance to discuss the mood board, refine the direction, and address any questions or ideas you might have.
For shoots that require a larger creative team, we can also bring in additional collaborators such as makeup artists, hairstylists, stylists, movement directors, set designers, or videographers. Planning these details ahead of time helps ensure the shoot itself feels relaxed, organised, and creatively focused.
Having lived in London for the past 15 years, I’ve built strong relationships with many talented creatives in the industry, and I’m always happy to recommend the right people to help bring the vision to life.
3. SHOOT DAY
This is where the magic happens.
During the shoot, my role goes beyond simply taking photographs. I also act as a movement director, guiding you through poses, gestures, posture, and natural movement so the images feel fluid rather than staged.
The aim is to create photographs that feel cinematic, effortless, and alive — capturing real emotion, natural energy, and beautifully sculptural compositions.
I like to create a balance between classic, timeless portraits — those “picture-perfect” shots — and more expressive, artistic moments. This can include movement, softer blur, cinematic framing, experimenting with different lighting setups, and exploring the most flattering angles of your face and body.
The goal is to capture a range of images that feel both elegant and emotionally alive — photographs that feel effortless, dynamic, and authentic to you.
4. DELIVERY
After the shoot, I carefully review and edit the strongest images from our session. Alternatively you can also choose the final images to be edited. Within 3–4 working days, you will receive a curated online gallery featuring the best edited photographs.
If you would like additional photographs or minor retouching adjustments, these can also be arranged.
Terms & Conditions
By booking a photography session with Anya Levi (“the Photographer”), the client agrees to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Booking Fee, Payment & Usage
The Client shall pay a non-refundable booking fee to the Photographer in order to secure the selected date and time.
Upon receipt of the booking fee, the Photographer will reserve the agreed time and date exclusively for the Client.
The remaining balance, along with any agreed additional travel fees (if applicable), must be paid no later than the day before the photoshoot.
No photography services will be provided until full payment has been received.
If the Client wishes to reschedule the session a £60 rescheduling fee will apply, unless it is due to weather, illness or injury or circumstances not under their control then a reschedule is free of charge.
In the unlikely event that the photographer is unable to attend the photoshoot due to illness, injury, or circumstances beyond their control, the session may be cancelled or rescheduled. If rescheduling is not possible, any deposit or fees paid by the client will be fully refunded. The photographer will make reasonable efforts to notify the client as soon as possible and, where appropriate, may suggest a trusted replacement photographer, though this is not guaranteed.
The final photographs are delivered for the client’s personal, professional and commercial use. Basically you can do whatever you want with them :)
The Photographer reserves the right to publish selected photographs in their portfolio, on their website, and across social media platforms, unless the images are explicit in nature or could reasonably harm the reputation of the Client.
If the Client prefers that no images from the shoot be published or shared publicly, the Photographer may agree to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for an additional fee of 15% of the total project cost.
Clients Under 18
If the subject of the photoshoot is under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present during the photoshoot and must sign this agreement on their behalf.
2. Punctuality
Clients are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled session.
If the client arrives more than 20 minutes late, the delayed time will be deducted from the total session duration. The session will still end at the originally agreed time in order to respect other bookings.
3. Photographer’s Artistic Discretion
The Photographer will use their professional expertise and creative judgement to capture and edit the images.
However, the Photographer cannot guarantee the capture of specific poses, expressions, or photographs desired by the client. Photography is an artistic and dynamic process that depends on many variables including lighting conditions, timing, location limitations, subject movement, and spontaneous moments during the shoot.
For this reason, the Photographer cannot be held accountable if certain desired photographs are not captured.
RAW / unedited image files remain the property of the Photographer and will not be delivered to the Client under any circumstances. Only the final edited JPEG photographs selected from the gallery will be delivered.
4. Image Selection
After the shoot, the client will receive a proof gallery.
The client may:
• Select their preferred final images from the gallery, or
• Request that the Photographer selects the best images on their behalf based on artistic judgement and image quality.
5 a. Editing: Photography
Standard editing includes:
• Colour correction
• Exposure adjustments
• Retouching
Editing does not include advanced manipulations such as:
• Background replacement
• Extreme body reshaping or extending hair length by more than 10cm
• Extensive compositing
• CGI or major digital alterations
Any additional advanced editing requests may be declined or quoted separately.
5 b. Editing: Videography
• Basic cutting and sequencing
• Colour correction and exposure adjustments
• Light sound balancing
• Simple cinematic pacing
The Photographer/Videographer maintains a classic, timeless editing style and typically shoots in a natural colour profile rather than S-Log. Clients are encouraged to review previous work to ensure the editing and filming style aligns with their vision.
Videography editing does not include:
• Heavy visual effects or CGI
• Extreme transitions or fast-paced commercial-style editing
• Advanced motion graphics
• Extensive compositing or digital manipulation
• Major retouching of subjects or environments
Editing style & creative consistency: By booking a session with the Photographer, the client acknowledges that they are familiar with and accept the Photographer’s editing style, artistic direction, and overall aesthetic. The Photographer’s work can be viewed through their portfolio, website, or social media, and these examples represent the style, colour grading, and editing approach that will be applied to the final images. Clients are encouraged to review the Photographer’s previous work carefully before booking to ensure the style aligns with their expectations.
6. Revisions & Re-Edits
If the client requests additional changes to already edited images, re-edits will be charged at £10 per photograph and £35 for video reels. The mood board & creative direction (as well as styling) presentations (gold & diamond packages) also allow a maximum of 1 revision (extra revisions are £20).
7. Studio Props
For studio sessions, the standard setup includes the background and lighting provided by the Photographer or studio.
If the client wishes to include additional props or specific objects, these must either:
• Be brought to the studio by the client, or
• Be requested from the Photographer in advance to confirm whether they are available.
The Photographer cannot guarantee the availability of specific props unless confirmed prior to the shoot.
8. Image Format & Delivery
All photographs will be shot in digital format.
Digital photographs will be delivered through a private online gallery available for download.
9. Delivery Timeline
The final edited gallery will be delivered within 5 working days after the photoshoot date.
Where possible, the Client agrees to credit the Photographer when images are used publicly online or in publications (e.g. “Photo by Anya Levi”).
10. Gallery Access
The online gallery will remain active for 14 days after delivery. After this period, the gallery will be permanently deleted, and the Photographer cannot guarantee image recovery.
Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their photographs within this time frame.
NB: Please make sure to download the final photos within 30 days, as they will only remain available in the online gallery for a limited time and may be permanently removed after this period.
ABOUT ME
Hi, lovely to meet you. My name is Anya, and I’m a photographer and creative director. Since I was 11 years old, I’ve been obsessed with capturing people’s true essence — making everyone feel seen, comfortable, and confident in front of the lens.
Ultimately, my aim is to create a collection of images that feel timeless — photographs you would want to frame, keep, and return to for years to come. Images you might one day show to your partner, your friends, your children, or even your grandchildren.
I want to capture not only how you look, but how you feel.
Your energy, your essence, your aura, your strength — you from the inside out.
My work is rooted in storytelling — crafted to feel raw, real, and deeply human. I like to create environments where moments unfold naturally — where everything feels candid, yet intentional. I graduated from LSE with a degree in Philosophy, which deeply shaped the way I see and create. I’m passionate about infusing my work with subtle messages, layers of meaning, and a sense of purpose that goes beyond the surface.
I have photographed for brands such as Vogue Italia, Valentino, BVLGARI, L'Officiel and my work has been featured in PhotoVogue and exhibited in London, Venice, New York, and Barcelona. I’m also a winner of the Photopolis Photo Festival competition and a Life Framer award recipient.
