The Mental, Physical, Emotional, & Spiritual Body, Explained. Why the Divide?

We are all essentially one but we verbally divide our essence into different parts to help us gain more clarity and see which area of our being needs more attention to help achieve balance as a whole.

We call each part, the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual body.

The physical body is the body we can 'see' and touch. It's our muscles, our hair, our legs, our spine, our brain.

The mental and the emotional body is essentially related to what we 'feel'. How well your mind processes and understands information and experiences is one aspect of mental wellness. Emotional health, on the other hand, refers to your ability to control and express the emotions that occur as a result of what you've learnt and experienced.

Our spiritual body is our connection with the universe and cosmic consciousness. Spiritual wellbeing is our ability to be aligned with our true purpose and being in a state of flow. It can encompass our connection to culture, community, and anything 'greater than ourselves', as well as our ability to surrender to outcomes beyond our control.

Sometimes we might be physically strong and healthy- eating all the right foods, taking all the necessary supplements and exercising regularly- but still be suffering internally, perhaps wither with crippling anxiety or depression or even physical illnesses such as autoimmune. Therefore, we need this 'divide' in our being as a whole in order to closely examine what is going on. Perhaps we need a better spiritual practice, involving meditation, journaling or even need to learn better-coping strategies for our emotional and mental body.

If you need my help healing your physical, mental, or spiritual body and achieving balance in your life, perhaps even the ability to thrive in this world of endless possibilities, please feel free to join my waiting list here.
